About
Pods are about an inch long, tapered or a bit round depending on the seed line, and ripen from green to cherry red. Many plants hold fruit in upward clusters. Flavor is sweeter than a standard Thai chile and works in sauces, flakes, and everyday cooking. Plants are tough and productive, often 90 to 120 cm tall, and finish in about 90 to 100 days.
Backstory
Khang Starr bred this chile in North Texas and first showed the unnamed seedlings in 2019. He named the red line StarrScream the following year after growing out later generations. A chocolate-ripening sibling came out of the same family. This is not James Mallon's Star Scream superhot.
