About
Pods start green and ripen to dark chocolate. They are large for a superhot, bumpy and gnarled, and some carry a short scorpion-like tail. Flavor is fruity and smoky under the heat. Plants grow vigorously to roughly 150 cm and take 90 to 100 days after transplant.
Backstory
Italian grower Rocco Maltesi selected this chocolate-ripening line in the late 2010s from seed that vendors describe as a cross involving the MA Wartryx and the original Trinidad 7 Pot CARDI strain. Plants reach about five feet and produce large, heavily wrinkled pods.
