About

The Scorpion Apocalypse (aka Apocalypse Scorpion) is an unstable hybrid super-hot Capsicum chinense developed in Italy by AIASP members over five years of breeding focused on extreme heat. Its menacing, warted pods feature a signature scorpion stinger tail, thick blistered/wrinkled skin, and ripen green to red (with occasional peach/white variants). While delivering scorching pungency, it surprisingly offers sweet, fruity, and floral undertones. Prolific 3–4 ft plants suit extreme sauces, salsas, and heat challenges; handle with extreme care.

Backstory

Bred over five years by the Italian Pepper Lovers' Association (AIASP) through selective hybridization of scorpion-type peppers to push extreme heat boundaries; released to support their seed bank; known for genetic instability and pod variation.
