About

Red Gunda is a high-yielding, open-pollinated Thai chili variety. Plants grow 80–100 cm tall and produce abundant upright clusters of long, narrow, thin-walled fruits that ripen from green to deep red and weigh approximately 3 g each. Rated Schärfegrad 7 (medium-hot), it has a pleasant chili aroma and good drying properties, making it suitable for fresh culinary use or processing into flakes and powder. Particularly recommended as a pot or tub plant and for outdoor cultivation in warm conditions.

Backstory

This Thai chili selection has been maintained and popularized for European gardeners through biodynamic breeding by Bingenheimer Saatgut, valued for its high productivity, decorative upright fruit clusters, and versatility.
