About

Pods start purple or green with purple mottling and ripen peach, often with pink and purple blush. One shop grows compact plants about 60 to 75 cm with near-black stems and dark leaves veined in purple. Another lists plants over a meter and about 100 days to harvest. Heat is superhot on the one shop figure we have. Start seed indoors 8 to 10 weeks before last frost and keep the plants in full sun and warmth.

Backstory

Bryan Townshend of Towns-End Chili & Spice in South Florida named Purple Uprising for plants that lost the bleeding calyx and set their pods pointing up. Seed shops now sell the peach ripe color under that name.
