Pseudo Spiral Peach is a Capsicum chinense superhot selected by Bryan Townshend of Towns-End Chili & Spice in South Florida. Townshend describes it as a Bubblegum Peach Naga / NagaGum Peach Italia plant that failed to express the bleeding calyx — the same kind of no-bleed selection that produced Death Spiral from red Naga Bubblegum. Pods are gnarly and wrinkled, ripen from green to a soft peach or pink-tan, and stay in that peach window rather than finishing red. Seeds are sold as F3/F4; Townshend warns growers to expect plant-to-plant variation. Heat is untested in a lab but sits in superhot territory with its Death Spiral and peach Naga-Bubblegum parents.

Bryan Townshend of Towns-End Chili & Spice in Royal Palm Beach, Florida, isolated peach Naga-Bubblegum plants that never picked up the trademark bleeding calyx. On a live video someone asked what they were; he joked “Fake Death Spiral… a Pseudo Spiral,” and the name stuck. He had been giving the seeds away until other vendors started listing them, then added official F3/F4 packets for both peach and orange. The red counterpart of this idea is Death Spiral, selected in the UK from Naga Bubblegum Red by Terry Smith and named by Jim Duffy.
