About

Moruga Scorpion Yellow is a productive Capsicum chinense superhot producing gnarled, deeply creased pods that ripen bright yellow. Pods average 5-7 cm long with crisp yellow flesh and intense capsaicin. Plants are thick and bushy, thriving in warm conditions with high yields of flavorful fruit that delivers citrus-tropical sweetness before the building, throat-searing heat.

Backstory

Yellow cultivar of the 2012 world-record Trinidad Moruga Scorpion (measured by NMSU Chile Pepper Institute) created by Wahid Ogeer in Trinidad; a CARDI-improved variety sharing the original's extreme heat and shape but with distinctive bright yellow color and enhanced citrus notes.
