Moruga Scorpion Chocolate produces large, heavily wrinkled pods that ripen from green to a deep chocolate brown. The pods are gnarled and bulbous with a characteristic scorpion-like tail or point. Plants are vigorous and upright. Known for extreme heat combined with a rich, earthy, smoky, and sweeter fruity flavor than the red Moruga Scorpion.
Backstory
The Moruga Scorpion Chocolate is a dark brown color variant and selection of the famous Trinidad Moruga Scorpion pepper from the Moruga region of Trinidad and Tobago. It was stabilized by chilli enthusiasts for its distinctive chocolate-colored pods and sweeter flavor profile while retaining extreme heat.
