About

Blocky three- to four-lobed fruits with thick walls ripen from green through chocolate brown to red. The flavor is sweet with a mild pungent note like an Anaheim that can be dialed back by removing the seed core and ribs. Upright plants about 60 cm tall carry Tobacco Mosaic Virus resistance and suit stuffing, grilling, or fresh salsa.

Backstory

Mexibell was named an All-America Selections Edible-Vegetable winner in 1988. Sun Seeds bred the hybrid and Seeds By Design later offered it as a blocky bell with mild chili flavor.
