About

Pods are small and irregular, often resembling a Scotch bonnet or mushroom with a rough, wrinkled surface and occasional short tail. Ripe fruit is red. Flavor is fruity and floral with citrus notes before the heat builds. Thin walls make the pods suitable for sauces and drying. Plants reach about a meter tall and produce heavily in a long warm season.

Backstory

Matthew Arthur of Hot Springs, Arkansas, developed MA Wartryx as one of his superhot lines. The pepper has circulated in the grower community for more than a decade and is noted for irregular pod shapes and heavy production.
