About

Ripe fruit is slim and ridged, about 5 to 8 cm long, with thin walls and very few seeds. Pods start green and finish a clean bright yellow. Flavor is sweet with a light citrus snap. Heat sits in the habanero class. Plants are vigorous and load up hardest once late-summer heat eases. Use them in salsas, quick sautés, and yellow chili oil or flakes.

Backstory

Khang Starr showed the first yellow torch pods in North Texas in 2021 and kept that bright finish. Specialty shops now pack the yellow line under its own name.
