Ripe pods are small and very thin, packed with seed, with a slightly rough skin that stays crunchy. They smell tropical, close to Sangria fruit, and taste sweet first before a sharp hot burn. The fruit is good raw, dried for powder, or dropped into chili oil. The plant looks like a Thai type, with small leaves and long stems that snap clean at harvest. It yields heavily in Texas heat, in cooler weather, and in hydro, and it sets more pods in a larger pot.

Backstory

Khang Starr first listed StarrFlower as a named line in his 2024 grow series and reviewed the ripe fruit in November 2025. He breeds at KhangStarr Farms in Fannin County, Texas, and said he would collect seed from this one to send out because it is productive and fun to grow.
