About

Ripe pods turn pastel peach to peach-orange. They stay round and bonnet-shaped, often with a short stinger, and the walls are thick. Skin is lightly bumpy. Heat is hot, in habanero territory, and the fruit is thick enough to stuff or simmer into sauce. Plants commonly reach 4 to 5 feet and can yield more than 100 pods.

Backstory

Khang Starr selected this peach color from the same mid-2010s US line that produced Lemon Starrburst and Scarlet Rose. Grower reviews used the Starrkist name by 2019. Seed is now sold open-pollinated in the US and Europe.
