About

Pods start green, pick up orange, then finish red. The breeder likes them just as the color turns. Walls are thick and there are few seeds. Flavor is sweet and aromatic in an aji way, not the usual Thai bite, and the heat comes on after the sweetness. Plants stay short in small hydro pots and still load up. He also grows them outside.

Backstory

Khang Starr named it after Japanese niwaki garden trees because the fruit sits in stacked clusters along the branches. He first showed the line under this name in Texas in 2021 and still saves seed from fully red pods. Seeds move through the pepper-lovers trade rather than a shop packet.
