About
Pods keep a bird's-eye outline but run larger and more wrinkled than a typical Thai chile, with a clawed tip on some fruit. They start green, pick up orange, and finish red. Walls are medium-thick. Green and breaker pods stay crunchy and fruity. Fully red fruit soften and the skin toughens, so those go into sauce or a pan. The plant loads up in full sun and takes hot summers.
Backstory
Khang Starr made this cross in North Texas around 2016 and had named fruit on camera as Misery Sweet by 2017. He kept selecting the line after that. A later tailed off-type was split out as KS Misery Sweet X. Seed now moves through pepper-trading groups and a few small shops.
