About
The pods are long, thin, and a little wavy, with wrinkled skin, thin walls, and a sharp tail. Fruit starts pale or green, then runs yellow and orange, sometimes with a purple flush, before finishing red. Ripe pods are sweet and tropical. They stay crunchy when still firm. Heat is uneven. Some plants stay gentle enough to snack. Others land closer to a hot Thai chile. Growers eat them fresh, dry them for powder, or steep them in oil. In a small pot the plant stays compact and showy. Give it more root room and it can get tall and load hundreds of pods.
Backstory
Khang Starr bred this line in North Texas and first showed it under the Lingria name in 2020. He wanted a colorful ornamental that still had flavor and some bite, then mailed seed for free through his Pepper Lovers circle. Home growers and a few seed shops have kept it going. Packet text sometimes names the wrong second parent, so treat shop blurbs with care.
