KS Khangsta Long
Also known as Khangsta Long · KS Khangsta Long V2
KS Khangsta Long is a Capsicum chinense cultivar from Texas, United States. Capsi has not yet documented heat for this variety. Flavor is fruity, citrus, sweet, floral. Used for Hot sauce and powder. Fresh slices if you already cook with habanero heat..
KS Khangsta Long is a longer, more wrinkled off-type from Khang Starr's Khangsta line. Texas Hot Peppers sells the seed as unstable, so pod shape and ripe color still wander.
Flavor & Use
Sweet-citrus start with a floral edge, then a slow throat burn. Those notes come from tastings of the parent Khangsta line, not a separate Long lab profile.
Culinary
About
The fruit stretches past the compact Khangsta bonnet and picks up extra folds and bumps. Walls on the parent line are thick. Flavor there is mild-sweet and a little floral, with a hot burn that sits above a habanero. Good in sauce and powder. Plants can reach four to five feet and crop heavily once they take. Ripe color on the current seed photo is red, though the shop warns color can wander.
Backstory
Khang Starr bred the Khangsta line in the mid-2010s. Dave grew the early seed in West Virginia, and Donna gave it the name. Texas Hot Peppers later isolated this longer, gnarlier pheno and lists it as V2.
