## Heritage

Landrace

Kambuzi is a traditional landrace.

A 2023 Malawi horticulture guide lists Kambuzi beside bird's eye as a small round local chilli, and Nali's brochure calls the chilli indigenous to Malawi. No source names a breeder or a cross.
