About

Small teardrop fruits, about 2–3 cm long, thin-walled, that hang heavily on a compact plant. They start light green and finish peach. Flavor is fruity and aromatic with a sour edge, typical of baccatum. The pods dry well and work in sauces with tropical fruit. Plants stay 50–80 cm and produce heavily in pots.

Backstory

The peach form was selected in Germany by David Rempen from the Peruvian Inca Red Drop. The parent type is a small teardrop baccatum long grown in the Andes; the color change to peach is the distinguishing trait of this selection.
