Joy and Michael Michaud of Sea Spring Seeds selected Dorset Naga from Bangladeshi Naga Morich bought in a Bournemouth shop. Their pages and 2006 interviews all call it a multi-year selection, not a hybrid; EU plant breeders’ rights followed in 2009.
