Backstory
Jim Duffy of Refining Fire Chiles isolated the Death Spiral form in 2016 from Naga Bubblegum Red material received from UK grower Terry Smith. He grew successive generations in isolation and released the red line after the 2017 season. Death Spiral Mustard is a later color selection from that same line.
