About
Pods are twisted and heavily ridged with a brain-like or spiral pattern, often ending in a point or small tail. Skin is bumpy and wrinkled. Ripe fruit is a rich chocolate brown. Flavor is fruity with citrus notes under the intense, quick burn. Plants are productive once established and grow well in warm conditions or large containers.
Backstory
The Death Spiral Chocolate is a color form of the Death Spiral. Jim Duffy of Refining Fire Chiles isolated the distinctive spiral form from Naga Bubblegum Red material that originated with UK grower Terry Smith, releasing it after the 2017 growout. The chocolate version retains the same twisted pod shape and is sold by multiple seed houses as that color form.
