About

Elongated red pods with deeply wrinkled, bumpy skin and an irregular shape; many finish with a small stinger. Flavor starts with a brief flash of fruit, floral notes, and light sweetness before the heat dominates, finishing dry or slightly bitter. Plants are bushy and moderately compact.

Backstory

American breeder Jeff Remmert developed the line in the United States and released it at the F8 generation. The red pods are the form sold as Deadpool (also called Remmert Red); a chocolate phenotype from the same genetics is sometimes listed separately as Remmert.
