About

This unique heirloom variety from Turkey produces long, slender, curved and twisted fruits resembling a Turkish scimitar or saber, typically 8 to 12 inches in length and about 3/4 inch wide with thin walls. Fruits mature through stages of light green to yellow, orange, and finally brilliant red, and can be harvested and enjoyed at any point. The flavor is exceptionally sweet with a crisp texture, rich fruity notes, and a mild grassy character when picked green. Plants are highly productive, often yielding 50 to 100 or more fruits per plant, and are compact, reaching 18 to 30 inches tall. It excels in frying, pickling, roasting, fresh salads, and can be dried for powder. One of the most productive peppers tested by universities, it thrives in full sun with consistent moisture and fertile soil.
