About
The Chocolate Primotalii produces large, dark chocolate-brown, heavily wrinkled and blistered pods with characteristic long, curled stinger tails. It ripens from green to deep brown and is prized (and feared) for blistering heat combined with rich, smoky, earthy, and floral notes that persist longer than many superhots. Plants are productive but require a long growing season and warm conditions.
Backstory
Chocolate phenotype of the Primotalii, a 7 Pot Primo × Fatalii cross developed around 2012 by UK grower Chris Saunders. The dark-brown variant was stabilized (e.g. by Jim Morrow) and is frequently described as hotter than the red original with more pronounced smoky notes; the line remains somewhat unstable.
