About

The Biquinho White pepper features small, distinctive teardrop-shaped pods that ripen from green to creamy pearl white (sometimes pale yellow). Approximately 1 inch long with thin, juicy, glossy-skinned walls and many seeds, it delivers an intensely aromatic, sweet, citrusy, and fruity flavor reminiscent of habanero but with very low heat (500-1,000 SHU). Compact, highly productive plants (2-3+ feet tall) make it excellent for containers, gardens, and both culinary and ornamental use.

Backstory

A white-fruited variant of the traditional Biquinho pepper originating in Minas Gerais, Brazil. Popularized in the 2000s and introduced internationally around 2018 via seed exchanges with Danish and German master growers Jes Christiansen and Sven Martens.
