About
Fruit ripens from green to dark brown. Pods run medium to large, often bigger than a golf ball, with a wrinkled scorpion shape and thin to medium walls that dry well for powder. Plants are tall and productive, commonly four to six feet, and need a long warm season.
Backstory
Rocco Maltesi released this line from his Italian breeding work. North American catalogs picked it up as an unstable new cross, and grower Linda McNew helped spread pods through tastings and sauce.
