Hungarian official type lists and USDA PI 543809 treat Alma/Almapaprika as a traditional apple-shaped Hungarian cultivar with no named parents. Catalogs sell the same open-pollinated heirloom; Kalocsa–Szeged spice-paprika breeding is a different longum group.
