About
Large contorted pods stay nearly black for most of the season before ripening to dark purple with red mottling. The plant is tall with dark foliage and sets heavily. Flavor is fruity and floral with violet and grapefruit notes under superhot heat. Best used sparingly in sauces or dried for powder.
Backstory
Michael Ekegren of Alien Chili in Sweden made the original cross in 2016 near Uppsala and has continued selecting the line at his farm in Östervåla. The variety is sold open-pollinated with several color phenotypes still under stabilization.
