About

This beautiful variety produces quite large pods with thick walls. The aroma is sweet and fruity, similar to other aji varieties. Pods ripen to a vibrant tangerine orange color and have a great taste, making it ideal for fresh consumption, salsas, and sauces. Developed as a cross by Susan Garza in the US pepper enthusiast community.

Backstory

Created by Susan Garza (Pepper Lovers Google+ community) as a cross between two Aji (C. baccatum) varieties. Seeds were shared with growers such as Khang Starr; it later became the parent for the popular Tangerine Tiger hybrid.
