Aji Jobito is a traditional landrace.
FONAIAP’s 1985 eastern-Venezuela bulletin already names Cumaná’s farmer-kept Jobito type after the jobo fruit. Chefs, the 2026 Sucre producer association, and seed catalogs still treat it as a local pepper with no named parents.
