Ají Amarillo is a traditional landrace.
Barboza’s Capsicum monograph and Peru’s MINAM baseline both treat Ají Amarillo (ají escabeche / mirasol) as the long-kept Andean C. baccatum var. pendulum. No source names parents or a modern planned cross.
