About
Pods are small to medium, heavily wrinkled and bumpy, with the characteristic thin scorpion-like tail of the Primo line. They ripen from green through yellow, sometimes finishing light orange if left longer. Flavor is sweet, citrusy, and floral once past the intense heat. Plants are vigorous, often exceeding three feet.
Backstory
Troy Primeaux (nickname Primo) developed the red 7 Pot Primo in Louisiana around 2005 while working in the horticulture program at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. The yellow form is a natural color mutation that appeared in grow-outs of that line and has been selected and shared by growers since.
